The History of Pomodoro began in 1989 when Chef Piero had a desire and an opportunity to introduce the traditional fresh food he ate growing up in Italy. He had a vision of using locally grown farm fresh ingredients in Florida after traveling through California and experiencing eating fresh healthy food from locally grown farms. The fresh food prepared by the chefs in California was his inspiration to open Pomodoro Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
We make all the classic Italian pizzas and when ingredients are in season we make specialty pizzas. One of the reasons we keep our menu small is our customers have come to expect and appreciate the quality and the freshness of Pomodoro food.
We feature daily specials on our board, including organic chicken, meats, local fish of the day, and our highly popular pasta dishes.
We also have a selection of fresh organic salads on our menu with Pomodoro Restaurants homemade salad dressing.
